Dreamfever Spoilers & Teasers #1: Because we simply can't wait for the book

Okay so here I am, spoiler giver...

I'm almost done with the book by now, on chapter 36 and I think the last chapter I recaped was 20... so maybe we could start out by posting what I've already posted from the previous chapters?

Anyways, it's getting so complicated, you guys! I don't know how I'll be able to explain it so it's clear! lol I'll do my best!

I have pretty much all of the recaps, or did you want to post them?

Well, if you don't mind doing it, I could focus on typing more

Chapter 21:
Dani leads Mac throught the abbey to the libraries. Mac is still worrying about that glooming the world thing. Dani tells Mac that wards are protecting the libaries. Mac's happy since she can now go through them. There is a door to the first library and when Mac touches it, it makes her see her deepest fears. She makes it through but the room is filled with so many books, it'll take forever to find anything. Dani warns Mac that sidhe-seers are coming but Mac realizes they want to help her, not stop her, even though that's what Rowena asked them to do.

While they search the first library, Mac goes for another one but the wards are more intense, she needs to use blood to pass through one. Then a wall appears and a blond beautiful woman stands in her way, telling her she doesn't belong there (it's like some kind of recorded message or something) and Mac can't get through.

Prologue: Starts where the last book ended, Mac is still with the Unseelie Princes and it's a monologue of how she's feeling, what she's losing, etc.

Chapter 1: From Dani's point of view. She's funny!!! Rowena and the sidhe-seers still beleived Mac betrayed them with the Orb. They want her, dead or alive. They go into Dublin and Dani, with her super-speed, snatches Mac from the Unseelie Princes. The other sidhe-seers go after and get her spear.

Chapter 2: Still from Dani's point of view. Mac is in a cell at the abbey, the sidhe-seers put wards around the place to keep the Fae from finding her. She refuses to eat. Rowena is really mad at Dani 'cause she had the opportunity to kill the Princes but saved Mac instead. Most sidhe-seers don't care if Mac lives or dies. Dani is the only one who takes care of her (she tries to get her to eat and she fills the cell with click-it lights). Then, Dani realizes someone painted over the wards. She goes to get the sword and goes back to Mac's cell to protect her. An Unseelie Prince comes and Dani kills him, then Barrons arrives with some kind of army/team of men. Another Unseelie Prince arrives but flees when he sees Barrons. Jericho takes Mac away from the abbey.

Chapter 3: The scene from Chapter 2 but from Mac's point of view. She's in the cave at the abbey and feels empty. She's happy to see the Unseelie Prince arrive but devastated to see him die because of Dani (whom she doesn't recognize). Then, she's happy again to see another Unseelie Prince come, but he leaves and that makes her sad, but then, she sees Barrons and here's what she thinks: "Yes, yes, yes, you are what I need!" and he takes her away.

Chapter 4: Still from Mac's pov. She's in a room, probably at the bookstore... she's with Barrons and she's still Priya... and they have SEX! Lots and lots and lots and lots of SEX! Yup! Barrons trying to make her come back though, to make her remember who she is. He's learning her words, he voices her so she eats and sleep. And they have sex. He makes her listen to happy music (which she hates, lol) and tells her about her family, but she thinks only about sex. With him. Barrons is thorned between keeping her that way of getting the real Mac back. While she sleeps, he tatoos her. Don't know why yet. He makes her put clothes on too, bright colors, and she hates it. But slowly, she remembers things. This lasts for many, many weeks. The chapter ends at Christmas and she remembers lots of things, like her sister and her parents. But it's all seems to be a blur.

Chapter 5:

Barrons is still making Mac remember who she is. He dances with her around the room, so cute! He begins asking her more questions about her past and she doesn't want to remember, but she does, kinda. Then, she goes to sleep and she dreams about her life, from when her and Alina were kids to the Halloween night. And when she wakes up, she's Mac, and she's back."

Chapter 6:

Mac's soooooo mad!!! She's super pissed off that she had sex with Barrons like a nympho ('cause she remembers everything from her Priya phase, except her stay in the abbey). She's happy though 'cause her body is all toned up, lol. She's worried about what's been happening to the world, and her parents, and Dani. She looks for her spear in the room but doesn't find it. She gets dressed (Barrons has bought her a new leather jacket, and he's made her a new almost all-black but whit two little pink lights MacHalo) and she takes her new backpack. She leaves the room, which is in a basement afterall. There are crates of gun and ammo beside the room and she takes some, plus protein bars fom another crate. And she goes outside the house, realizing she's in the middle of a Dark Zone (it's not the bookstore, afterall).

Chapter 7

Mac tries to leave the house but she gets knocked down HARD by wards, lol. Then, V'lane appears and he tells her he's warded off too. Mac's preparing herself for the sexual arousement that comes with him, but it never comes, so she figure he's muted it. She super mad at him and asking why he didn't rescue her on Halloween. He says he had to help move Aoibheal, the Seelie Queen and that it took time. Mac's angry because he's basically telling her she's expandable, even though she's the only one that can find the Book. V'lane tells her that she's stronger now, so that it was all worth it. And of course that gets our Mac even agrier, lol. She takes him by the collar and Nulls him unintentionnaly and punches him a few times. And then V'lane makes her realize that she actually passed through the wards doing so. And also realizes that she feels no sexual arousment at all, she kisses V'lane and nothing. He says he's not muted, he's not happy. She's apparently immune to Princes now and she can see him in his true form without harm. He tells her she's not human anymore but she doesn't believe him. V'lane makes her wonder if Barrons was the fourth one in the church and Mac doesn't want to believe this, but still wonders. V'labe tells her Barrons his approaching and that her spear is at the abbey, so she leaves.

She walks through the Dark Zone, which is all Dublin now, with husks everywhere. She takes a knife from a jeans pocket. She realizes she's cured of her addiction to eating Unseelie but still jars some, just in case. She takes an abandonned Range Rover and drives toward the abbey. On the way, she sees two Unseelie fighting in the sky, which she finds weird. They don't notice her. Then, she gets to a zone that's not dark yet, there's still grass. She drives straight through a IFP (Interdimensional Fairy Pothole)... it's a bit of Faery in the human world and it's scary. She mades it through.

Chapter 8:

Twenty miles from the abbey, Mac stops and learns how to use her gun. She continues driving and passes through dozen of wards. She gets to the abbey and slams the door open. No one's waiting for her, as if she passed through the wards without setting them off. Then Dani shows up, slamming her to the floor before realizing it's Mac. They are happy to see eachother. Dani wants to know about all the sex with Barrons, when Mac tells her he's the one who cured her, hehe. Dani's all bruised because she's been trying to get into the Forbidden Libraries. Mac learns that Rowena is carrying her spear. She asks where the old witch is, and Dani answers "Behind you."

Chapter 9:

Mac gets her biggest suprise yet. Rowena is with V'lane, he sifted her behind her. Apparently, he's helping all sidhe-seers now. V'lane tells Mac she's being jealous and possessive, he's amused by it. But when Barrons gets mentionned, V'lane's the one being all jealous. Rowena tells them to stop fighting while the world is falling apart. Mac tells Rowena that the sidhe-seers should fight if they want to, not hide. She mocks her, asking if they've found the Book yet. Mac says she's staying at the abbey (she wants her spear, plus answers) whether Ro likes it or not. She tells her she's the GOOD guy, that she cares and that she wants to help. All the sidhe-seers take a vote, and Mac can stay, by a narrow margin.

To get accepted by Rowena, Mac tracks the Shades hiding in the abbey. Dani tells Mac that V'lane showed up at the abbey just a little after Barrons and went ballistic to see that she had gone with him. V'lane iced Rowena from her neck down, lol. Then Dani shows Mac the War Room, where they keep track of things. It's filled with maps and pictures and all. All major cities and Dark Zones now, but Mac's parents are fine, V'lane goes to check on them every other day. The Unseelies are fighting for territory now. The third of the planet's population is dead. Mac convinces Dani that they should have the spear and the sword since they are the most kick-ass weapons Rowena has. She says they should take the weapons back and Dani gets all excited.

Chapter 10:

Dani and Mac get the sword and the spear with Dani's super-speed and start driving towards Dublin. Rowena shouts "Traitors!" at them and Dani's worried that they'll never be able to go back to the abbey but Mac tells her they will, she has a plan. (Mac still needs answers and she wants to get into the Forbidden Librairies.) Mac is thinking that she will make the sidhe-seers turn their back on Rowena and fight with her and Dani. While driving, the girls avoid a few IFPs. They sense tremendous numbers of Fae in Dublin, it seems to be their headquarter, but what for?
Dani and Mac fight together and kill a lot of Unseelie. While fighting, they make up a song, which would later become the sidhe-seers anthem:

We're taking back the night!
Let there be light.
We're not afraid anymore.
You took what was mine
And now it's time
For you and me to settle the score
We're taking back the night!

Then, they see Hunters and a bunch of men are shooting at them. Dani says they must be nuts.Turns out it's Inspector Jayne and his men.

Chapter 11:

So, Jayne's team have all been eating Unseelie flesh, so are their wife and kids who are hidding. They keep protecting their city. Mac tell them that by shooting the Hunters, they are just pissing them off, but the men know. Mac and Dani thrust their weapons in the air, and the Hunters, seeing them, flee. But they tell Mac they'll come back for her. Jayne and his men have been caging Unseelie that can't sift. They use iron, since according to legends "Old Ones couldn't abide iron" and it works. Their bullets are also iron-made and they've lined the inside of their helmets with iron so the Hunters can't get into their mind as easily. Mac and Dani want iron too!! Jayne and his team want the spear of the sword to help them kill the Unseelie. Mac refuses and this causes an argument. Mac says she'll come back to kill those captured but Jayne doesn't think it's enough. His team starts to garther around the girls and Dani makes them espace using super-speed.

Mac and Dani talk about getting iron, plus Dani wants a gun too. Mac thinks of Barrons and Dani tells her that when he came to rescue her at the abbey, he was with 8 other guys like him but that none of them was allowed to approach Mac. And Dani also tells Mac that Barrons stoped her while she was super-speeding, which surprises Mac a lot.

Chapter 12:

Mac and Dani go back to the abbey in an old blue school bus they've filled with the crates of guns and ammos that were at Barrons' place. They also bring dead Unseelies. Mac's super tired so she goes in a library in the (mostly inoccupied) east wing to rest. On her way, she notices she's being followed and thinks it's Rowena, so she keeps going. When she gets to the library she realized it was actually... dum dum dum... Barrons! And Mac realizes that V'lane may not affect her anymore but Jericho SOOOOOO does! "I inhaled, caught myself straining for the scent of him, forced it back out, and closed my eyes, as if maybe I could hide behind my own lids from an ironic truth: V'lane and Barrons had swapped roles."

They have a wordless conversation (squeeeee!) and Mac's mad and he's being all smug, she tells him he as much raped her as the Princes did and he goes blank. He still wants her to realize that he saved her, they banther. He calls her Ms. Lane. He accuses her of stealing his guns. They lunge towards eachother but both backtrack at the same time. She asks him if he was the fourth Prince and the answer is no, she sees it in his eyes. He didn't spike the Orb either. He says he would have given her the guns if she had asked. They seem to calm down.

Then V'lane shows up (takes the spear away too). He argues with Barrons. Both men want Mac to go with them, they say she has to choose. Mac wants more info. Barrons tells her the ritual to maintain the walls failed and that Christian has disapeared, not know if he's dead or alive. V'lane and Barrons continue to argue over who Mac should go with. She takes Barrons' arm, digs her nail and goes inside his mind. She sees him in Faery with a Seelie Princess, he's her sextoy or something and it was V'lane's Princess so he's pretty pissed off. Barrons tries to get Mac outside of his head, but she keeps digging and sees him with the Princess and she's dead, he has killed her (with neither the spear or the sword). Mac understands why V'lane (and all Fae) are afraid of Barrons. She chooses no one, they both go. Before going, Barrons tosses her the cellphone and tells her it works and she should have tried the If You're Dying number.

Chapter 13:

Mac's really tired after her chat with her two suitors, lol. Barrons has left her her old backpack and she gets her journal from it, figuring he and Rowena must have read it. She notes down what she's learned so far and makes a to-do list which includes: forming troops to investigate the IFPs, learn more about iron and what it does and where it can be found, plus get in the Forbidden Librairies to find what the prophecy is and who are the five. She also wants to track Ryodan down, buy some underwear, dye her hair (she has a inch-long root!) and do her nails. Then Mac tests the numbers on the cell. Even though there's no service or power anywhere else, she can reach Barrons and Ryodan. He tells her not to test the If You're Dying number and is kinda scary, threatening. Dani comes into the library and tells Mac they're in trouble 'cause Rowena has found the bus and all the sidhe-seers are outside.

Chapter 14:

It's chaos outside, Rowena is not in control. Mac climbs on the hood of the bus and sidhe-seers can't believe she's back. Rowena tells her to get down but Mac wants to speak first. She's trying to "lead" a mutiny and his telling the sidhe-seers that their right place is fighting the Fae, not hiding like Rowena is making them. She tells them about Jayne's team, humans doing their job in their place and about iron. And she tells them there's a way to make humans strong and able to see through the glamour.

The sidhe-seers can't believe Rowena never told them that, but she gains back the control (much to Mac's dismay) telling them it involves eating Unseelie and that Mac's the one who showed the humans to do it and that it's addictive and changes you. Mac tells them she's immune to the Fae glamour now. Rowena tells the sidhe-seers that she's been blinded by their love for them and that it made her forget their duty but wouldn't anymore. She sends different troops finding out about iron, setting a bullet factory up and into Dublin to learn how many Fae there is, in order to prepare an attack.

All the while, Mac's speechless, not believing she almost won but that the old witch out smarted her, with all her ideas. Rowena puts Kat in charge and tells Dani to give her the sword. She doesn't want to, at ALL, so she super-speeds herself and Mac out of there, which probably means they're outcasts for good now.

Chapter 15
Mac and Dani go into Dublin to find Chester's, the place where Ryodan is. It's a nightclub. Dani convinces her to take her with her, but they have a small fight first and that makes Mac wonder about what exactly the kis has been through. On their way to Chester's they see a Grey Woman.

When they arrive at Chester's, it seems deserted and Mac wants to leave, but Dani says she's earing the music coming from underground so they go in through the back. Marylin Manson music is playing. The place is slick and filled with Unseelie and humans. The Unseelie are promising immortality to those humans if they please them and eat their flesh. And the stupid humans fall for it. They also tell them that they will take them to Faery if they are nice to them. Mac heads for the bar.

Chapter 16
Mac orders whiskey, Dani wants it too, she lets her take it and she hates it, lol. The bartender is... dum, dum, dum... Dreamy-Eyed Boy! Christian's friend/coworker. They are both surprised to see eachother, he hasn't seen Christian since Halloween either. Dani goes to survey the area, saying she won't get caught 'cause she's superfast. Mac chats a bit more with Dreamy-Eyed Boy and then sees the Gray Woman killing a human so she reaches for her spear. Two "men" (the likes of Barrons) are suddenly behind her and tell her this place is neutral and breaking that rule means she dies. They caught Dani (they're "faster") and tell Mac to follow them if she wants to see her again.

They bring her to Ryodan who is in a room all made of two-way mirrors. He's checking every single thing happening in the club. Mac blames him for letting Unseelie kill humans in his club, he doesn't care. Ryodan tells Mac that she might be the problem, that maybe the Book wants her, that they could be kindred or something. And that the Book can be bidding his time. Ryodan is clearly not trusting Mac, she worries him, he thinks she's to sure of herself, of her good nature. Dani is in a separate room with 4 other men, trying to escape, but they are faster. Ryodan lets Dani and Mac go, but tells her that she can't kill in his club, neither Unseelie nor humans (O'Banion and Fiona were both there), that her fight is outside.

Chapter 17
Mac is feeling that she's surrounded by hostility and tension, she thought that Ryodan would be supportive, but he's not at all. Dani and her go back to the house they are squatting and sleep a little. Then Mac, who's freezing because it's January and there is no power, sends Dani to spy on the sidhe-seers at the abbey. As soon as she's gone, the Lord Master shows up. He brought Mac hot coffee She gets to her feet and gets her spear but he tells her to kneel before him, voicing her. She resists easily, she can now! He tells her to look outside, two Unseelie Princes have got Dani.

Mac and the LM talk. She keeps telling him he turned her Priya. He tells her his story: how he was left naked in a NY subway station when he was turned into a mortal, how he made a pact with Hunters to get bak his Fae nature, how Barrons trained him (!!!) in the Druid arts in exchange for pages from the Sinsar Dubh. He says he's the Unseelies' new king because he gave them freedom. He tells Mac about how he met Alina (it was kind of love at first sight for both). He says there was no fourth at the church, the fourth Unseelie Prince was killed centuries ago. He says that Barrons is only trying to use her, like everyone else. He says he's not the one who killed Alina, he loved her. Mac doesn't believe him. He gives her a photo album from Alina and says he's going to come back in 3 days to get it back, and that Mac better be prepared to help him by then.

Dani's okay but she cries for a long time, Mac comforting her. Then, she goes to the abbey and Mac heads for Barrons Books and Baubles.

Chapter 18
On her way to the bookstore, Mac passes in front of Chester's to see if the Gray Woman's around, to kill her. She sees Rhino Boys reparing the streetlamps and asks them if it's to keep the Shades away. They say yes, that the Shades are "pig", not leaving anything for the rest of them. They want to seduce Mac but she kills them.

She gets to the bookstore and it's all light up and well maintained compared to the rest of the city. She goes in and there's a not on the cash register saying "Welcome Home, Ms. Lane" with keys to a car. Barrons arrive and tells her it's for a Hummer. She tells him that Dani's moving in with them, he says the kid's going back to the abbey and that Mac needs him. Mac says it might take a few days to convince Dani to go back to the abbey, Barrons gives her 48 hours. He says that there are new rules: stay away from Chester's (10 mile radius), share info with him without him asking, keep Dani away from the garage, no getting into his head or he'll force himself into her pants.

Dani's all excited to be living with Barrons, hehe. Mac and her go into the city to find the sidhe-seers that are coming too. They are in trouble, surrounded by Unseelie. Mac and Dani come to their rescue. In the fight, Kat gets in real trouble and Mac tosses her the spear, gaining Kat's trust at the same time. After the fight, Kat says they want Mac and Rowena to work together, that it's not the time to divide the sidhe-seers. Mac agrees and tells them to convince Rowena now.

Chapter 19
Mac and Dani go back to the bookstore, but a block from it, V'lane shows up. Mac sends Dani inside. V'lane sifts Mac, they are in the shy, floating and Mac's holding on to him for dear life. She opens her eyes and sees city lights, which means there's power. V'lane tells her he made that for her, worked hard, that's Atlanta and all Georgie down there and that it's safe now. Mac asks to see The Brickyard and inside, there's a town meeting, people trying to plan how to save the place from Fae. Then Mac walks to her house, filled with memories. She ears her parents in the backyard and hides in the bushes to see and ear them.

They are somewhat argueing about something they obviously have been talking about often. Mac's mom can't stand not knowing if she's alive, her dad tells her that Barrons said she was fine when he called. Rainey doesn't trust him, Jack says he doesn't either. He tried to go back to Dublin 3 times but got really sick once in the place everytime. He knows Barrons has done something to him to keep him away. Rainey says they should have told Mac the truth. Jack says: " What would you have had me say, Rainey? 'Baby, I'm sorry to tell you this, but according to some ancient prophecy, there's something wrong with you and you're going to doom the whole world'? Come on!" Jack doesn't believe the prophecy is true, Rainey thinks it might be. Mac is of course floored to ear all that. She leaves, but puts a photo of Alina with a small note from her in their mailbox before doing so.

Chapter 20
V'lane takes Mac back to the bookstore. She accepts to have his name on her tongue again. She's still numb from what she learned from her parents and can't believe it. Barrons sees V'lane kissing her and is not happy. He tells her to be at the bookstore at 10 p.m. the next day.

The next day, at noon, Mac and Dani are back at the abbey, it's like a conference or something. Rowena says she ready to work with Mac and Mac says she is too. Mac asks why she lost the Book and how it was guarded and Rowena says she doesn't have the power to take all decisions and she has to see the High Council before answering anything. Mac asks Dani if she knows where all the Forbidden Librairies are and Dani says yes.

Yeah... It does sound like there isn't quite as much Barrons as usual in this one, doesn't it?

I think it was less of him in FF...

I just need something EXTRA special and good about him by the end of the book, just to make up form all bad things people will say about him once they are done with the book, cause no doubt they will talk s*it about him

I don't know... Hopefully there will be something good about him popping up at the end of the book... (we can hope!!!)

I just want my boy to be he very good one and for Mac to see it and maybe remember the way he was around her when she was Priya, cause he was all sweet and kinda romantic dancing with her, singing to her...

I'm done! I've read it all... 36 chapters total... and right now, this is how I'm feeling...

Okay, so back to business...

I forgot to say, for Chapter 21, that when Mac is stuck with the blond lady message, she calls for V'lane for help. He shows up but then he seems to be in pain too, he hisses and he's gone.

Chapter 22:
Entering the bookstore, Mac tells Barrons the LM came for her and will be back. She says she knows he learned Voice from Barrons. They banther. There is an Object of Power in the store, Barrons takes Mac to it. He's found the third stone. He wants to go hunt the Book with the 3 stones, Mac is game.

Before they go, Barrons tells her stuff about the Silvers: The King created two separate networks, one for his concubine and another one he gave to the Queen. That one worked with the Hall of All Days, some kind of terminal where one could choose which world he wanted to go into. But because of Cruce's curse, everyting is now chaos, all the worlds have collided (with the Dreaming too, which is far older than the Fae realms) and now it's easy to get lost in the Silvers network forever. The Silvers also now lead to the Unseelie Prison. Barrons, with his druid arts, knows how to seal off portions of the Silvers. Mac worries the LM will know how to too, but Barrons says he doesn't know enough. They go hunt.

Aww yay, MJ back to their old routine again.. Hunting together.

Chapter 23:
In the back alley, Barrons wants Mac to get onto a Royal Hunter's back to travel She doesn't want to, they banther. Barrons controls it apparently. Mac finally goes get on, Barrons closely behind her. They fly over the city for hours looking for the Book. Finally, Mac senses it and they go towards it. They get off the Hunter and start walking towards the Book. Two blocks from it, Mac stops to feel pain but can still feel the Book's presence. Barrons thinks this is not good and wants to go back but Mac doens't want to, she keeps going, he follows. Barrons gives her one of the stones, he wants to corner the Book with it, so he goes in another direction while Mac stays on her course.

Wait, Barrons is controlling the hunter? Is the hunter dead?
Barrons can fly?

The next ones are complicated, I'll try to explain it the best I can...

Chapter 24:

Mac walks towards the Book, it's going slowly, then fast again, straight towards her and suddenly she can't feel it anymore. Suddenly she feels it again, but now behind her. She tries calling out for Barrons, finally calling him on his cell to tell him to go east and she takes off after the Book. She comes face to face with Derek O'Bannion, he has the Book, he seems possessed. He makes some metal noises, Mac thinks he says "help", he is being forced to open the Book and dumps it on the street, at her feet, open.

It seems like it!

Chapter 25:

Mac doesn't want to look at the Book, she calls out for Barrons, she tries to back away for trips and fall and sees inside the Book. She sees the blond lady from the ward going from page to page, she tries to follow her, she wants answers. She doesn't ear at first, but then she does, Barrons is yelling at her to get away. She realizes that there is something behind her, breathing down her neck. It's O'Bannion. Apparently, the Book was never on the ground, it was all glamour and now he's close like that to "learn" her, to know her. She tries to get out but O'Bannion does let her and the Book starts hurting her again (it can turn the pain on and off whenever it wants apparently). She's in so much pain she just lies there.

When she comes to, she's back at the bookstore, in front of the fireplace, wrapped in blankets. He asks her what the feck she is, she starts laughing in disbelief, he voices her and it's working! Barrons wants to know what the Book was doing to her for the hour he maintained her on the street. Barrons couldn't see her while it happened. He wants Mac to fight back the Voice. They banther. He lets her see a part of his mind, where he's slaughtering a man. But Mac goes in deeper and sees a child in Barrons arms, he dies and Barrons is filled with grief. Then Barrons kicks Mac out of his head.
